Salstat is definitely coming along. It now importx Excel files (XLS and XLSX), and uses WebKit (OSX and Linux) or Trident (Windows) to display HTML. This has opened up a world of opportunities and makes Salstat's results readily adjustable by almost any Python-based front-end developer. Things like progressive disclosure are easy and widely implementable.
In other news, I put together a packager which has created a nice DMG file for OSX. I'll need to update my Windows machine later so that an executable Windows downloadable is possible too. Ideally, when I feel the code is ready for a release, I can just run the respective packagers, and appropriate packages will be made.
I'm not using SourceForge any more, rather GitHub. I'm tempted to use Dropbox for distribution and bit.ly links to manage the links, unless I get a custom / useful domain specially for that purpose.
